The incident unfolded when the minor girl, the victim was found to be pregnant.

Pardi police have arrested the 19-year-old boy, for raping and impregnating a minor girl on the pretence of marriage. The accused has been identified as Shivam Mehra, a resident of Bhan-dewadi. 

Mehra is a labourer by profession, he gained the victim's trust, a resident of Nandanvan. Over the social media platform, they get to know each other, and they both fall in love and get into a relationship. Sources said, their relationship was developed between October 1, 2023, till November 17, 2023. 

On the sole basis of trust and hope of marriage, the accused took the minor to his residence revealing his true intentions trying to force the victim into a physical relationship, and this led the to victim's pregnancy. 

Upon discovering their daughter's pregnancy, the victim's parents promptly lodged a complaint at the nearest police station. Presently, the case has been officially registered, and the primary suspect has been apprehended, with investigations ongoing.
