Three persons, including a Keralan couple, are accused of stealing Rs 1.84 crore through fraudulent partnership in a gas station. The accused, who reside in Kannankuzhi Muri, District Alappuzha, Kerala, are identified as Vijay Pillai, Vijayakumari Pillai, and Nazim Haneefa Rother.

Latish, a Telangkhedi resident, complained to the police in 2012, claiming that the accused had promised him a thirty percent income if he invested in a gas pump. Latish invested and had faith in the accused, but as of now, he has received no dividends. The accused began to put off returning the money they had invested.

Dividends and investments totalling Rs 1.84 crore have yet to be reimbursed. When the accused saw that Latish was under growing pressure, he offered him two checks. Latish filed a police complaint when the bank rejected both of the checks. Police opened an investigation and filed a case. The Economic Offenses Wing was given custody of the matter.
