A man, along with his parents, is facing charges of molesting and unlawfully confining his estranged wife in a disturbing incident. The accused also reportedly assaulted the family members of the daughter-in-law.

The victim, Najuka (29), from ward number 1 in Raipur Hingna, was married to Vaishnav (32) in January 2023. During Diwali celebrations at her father's house in Katol, she was allegedly not allowed to return home by her husband and his parents. After intervention by her father and brother, they were permitted to leave, but upon reaching her home in Hingna with her father, brother, and uncle, they were subjected to abuse. Vaishnav, his father Yashvant (55), and his mother Rekha (50) purportedly locked them in the house and physically assaulted them.

The daughter-in-law was allegedly molested, abused, and threatened during the altercation. She managed to escape and subsequently reported the incident to the Hingna police.
