Nagpur, India: A weekend outing turned violent at Dwarka Water Park near Waki village when a group of bouncers allegedly attacked a visiting family, leaving two women injured and hospitalised. The incident occurred on Sunday evening and has sparked outrage among locals.

The victims — identified as Sakshi Gharote, Sonali Shinde, Vivek Shinde, Pawan Shinde, and Mayur Ghatole, all residents of Kamptee — were preparing to leave the park around 6 pm when an argument broke out with a guard at the exit. The situation quickly escalated as several bouncers joined in and began beating the family with sticks and fists.

Eyewitnesses captured parts of the incident on video, showing the two women losing consciousness during the assault. Family members allege that they were forcibly dragged into a room on the premises and locked inside for more than an hour. Multiple emergency calls made to Khapa Police and the state’s emergency helpline 112 reportedly went unanswered.

Police intervention came only after Pawan Shinde contacted Nagpur Rural Superintendent of Police Harsh Poddar. By that time, the bouncers had transported the injured women to Patansawangi Government Hospital using a private vehicle and fled the location.

The women were later shifted to a government hospital in Nagpur for further treatment. A formal complaint has been filed at the Patansawangi police outpost, and an investigation into the assault is now underway.

This is not the first time Dwarka Water Park has come under scrutiny. In 2019, park staff were accused of beating another group of visitors, raising ongoing concerns about safety and management practices at the facility. Local residents are now demanding stronger action and police accountability to prevent such incidents in the future.
