In a recent development, students at the prestigious National Law University near Borkhedi have raised serious concerns about the quality of food served in the college mess. Videos circulating widely depict disturbing instances, including hair in 'rotis' (flatbread) and worms in Dal, raising doubts about the overall standard of meals provided.

Students report falling ill and resorting to purchasing food from outside due to the perceived unhygienic conditions in the mess. Shockingly, allegations have been madeof a cockroach infestation within the mess premises, with claims that cooked cockroaches have been served. Some students point out the presence of cats in the area, some observed licking dishes clean, further adding to the concerns.

Situated approximately 16 to 17 kilometers away from the city, students face logistical challenges in seeking alternative dining options. Many have expressed frustration, stating that despite paying a substantial amount for hostel and mess facilities during admission, they are forced to endure these unsatisfactory conditions.

In response to these allegations, concerned parents and students are demanding swift action from the university authorities. The vice-chancellor, Prof Vijendar Kumar, has assured that an investigation is underway. The registrar and deputy registrar have been tasked with determining the authenticity of the circulated photos and videos.
