On Monday, the Crime Branch arrested three individuals in connection with the recent robbery in Civil Lines, Nagpur. The accused have been identified as Amit Nagose, Amit Khandekar, and Abhishek Bansod, and are residents of Nagpur. They have been charged with the robbery of Rs. 8.5 lakh cash from a Nair Sons company employee at gunpoint on Friday. The police suspect the involvement of the accused in other cases as well.

The robbery took place near Ladies Club Chowk, where Nagose tipped the other accused about the cash. Nagose, who is a driver with Nair Sons, was in the car with the company's employee Yogesh Choudhary at the time of the robbery. The suspects had planned the robbery, and the police were suspicious of Nagose, who misled them until call details were scrutinized. Further investigation revealed that Khandekar set up a Chinese food stall on IT Park premises, where all the accused used to meet. Nagose knew that Choudhary was often asked by the company to collect payments from traders. He collaborated with the other accused to plan the robbery. The vehicles used in the robbery were stolen from Sadar. Khandekar was riding a two-wheeler for many years.

After committing the robbery, the accused went to Lalit Padauti's house, a resident of Wadi who is still at large, where they divided the amount. Nagose's share was kept with Khandekar. The police have seized Rs. 5.5 lakh and the remaining cash is with Padauti, who also has the pistol used in the crime. Under the guidance of DCP Sudarshan Mumakka, a team of police officers, including Police Inspector Rahul Shire, API Ganesh Pawar, Gajanan Chambhare, PSI Balram Jhadhokar, HC Santosh Thakur, Santosh Madankar, Rajesh Tiwari, Ashish Thakre, Praveen Jambhulkar, Ronnie Anthony, Mahendra Sadmake, Pnitesh Ingle, Sunil Kuwar, Kishore Thackeray, Sheshrao Raut, Praveen, Mithun Naik, Parag Dhok, Praveen Lodhe, Chandshekhar Kshirsagar, and Kamlesh Gahlod, carried out the investigation. The police cracked the case based on call details.

The accused have been arrested and charged with the robbery of Rs. 8.5 lakh cash. The police are suspecting their involvement in other cases as well. The investigation was carried out under the guidance of DCP Sudarshan Mumakka, and the police seized Rs. 5.5 lakh cash. The remaining cash and the pistol used in the crime are with Lalit Padauti, who is still at large.
