Nagpur, India: In a significant crackdown on illegal gambling activities, Unit 4 of the Crime Branch, in collaboration with Imamwada Police, raided a gambling den in Imamwada and arrested 12 individuals late on the night of March 22.

The operation unfolded at the residence of Anil Prabhakar Kurve, situated on the second floor near Quarter 114 by the basketball ground in Chandan Nagar. Authorities reported that upon entering the premises, they found 12 individuals caught in the act of gambling.

Those apprehended include Sheikh Jafar, Omprakash Gupta, Vinayak Dharamthok, Suraj Guntewar, Siddharth Tagade, Suraj Shirpurkar, Chantu Mane, Rajkumar Somkunwar, among others.

During the raid, police seized items valued at approximately ₹5.30 lakh, which included cash, mobile phones, and a vehicle linked to the operation. A case has been registered against the suspects under the Gambling Prevention Act, as authorities continue to combat illegal gambling in the region.
