Nagpur: Big changes are coming for people who ride Maharashtra State Road Transportation Corporation (ST) buses. Soon, it will be much easier to pay for your bus ticket without using cash. They are introducing new machines called Android Electronic Ticket Issuing (ETI) machines, which will make buying tickets a breeze.

ST buses have been around for a very long time and have been an important way for people to get around. They have even started using buses that run on electricity instead of fuel. But one thing that hasn't changed for a long time is how people pay for their bus tickets - with cash. Unlike some other buses and taxis that let you pay with your phone or special codes, ST buses still needed you to use coins and paper money.

But things are changing now. People have asked for an easier way to pay, and the people in charge of ST buses are listening. They have started to bring in these new ETI machines. These machines are based on Android, the same system that many smartphones use. They will be given to different parts of Maharashtra.

For example, in Nagpur, they already have 1083 of these machines. Amravati has 1058, Bhandara has 600, Chandrapur has 405, Buldhana has 965, and Yavatmal has 964. Soon, all the bus stations will have these machines.

This is a big step forward. It will help things run even smoother and make it much easier for people to travel on these buses. Shrikant Gabhne, who helps manage the buses in Nagpur, said, "Very soon, you will be able to use these machines at any bus station you go to." This is exciting news for everyone who uses the ST buses in Maharashtra!
