In response to the September 2023 flood in Nagpur, the state government is stepping up to help. They've set aside Rs 204 crore to fix things.

The money will go towards rebuilding damaged walls along river drains and fixing roads that got messed up during the flood.

The government has given the green light to spend Rs 162.31 crore on building a 8.41-kilometer wall and Rs 41.48 crore on fixing a 61.38-kilometer stretch of roads.

To get this help, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation had to ask for it. They sent a report to the government through the Public Works Department. The government has already given Nagpur Rs 8 crore to start fixing things.

Overall, the government has approved Rs 838.54 crore to help Nagpur recover from the flood that hit on September 22,2023.

This money is a big help for Nagpur. It shows that the government cares and wants to help communities get back on their feet after tough times.
