In a bid to enhance passenger convenience, Central Railway, Nagpur Division authorities have inaugurated a new exit gate at Ajni railway station. Situated near the escalator at platform no. 1 on the Nagpur end, the new exit gate aims to facilitate smoother transit for passengers, especially those arriving from Platforms 2 and 3.

This initiative is a result of collaborative efforts between railway and metro officials, demonstrating their commitment to improving the travel experience for commuters. The newly opened exit gate will be operational upon the arrival of trains at the railway station, providing seamless access to the adjacent Metro Station and the road.

To ensure efficient passenger assistance, two dedicated Ticket Checking staff members have been deployed at the gate. Moreover, parking facilities near the porch of Platform no. 1 have been adjusted to accommodate increased passenger flow. Measures such as shifting parking areas and employing marshals for managing auto stands effectively have been implemented.

Aman Mittal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Nagpur Division, emphasized that the initiative aims to reduce inconvenience for passengers amidst the ongoing redevelopment work at Ajni station. This new exit gate is expected to enhance the overall passenger experience by offering greater convenience and efficiency in transit between railway and metro services.
