Police in Kalamna are on the lookout for two brokers accused of defrauding a fruit wholesale trader of more than Rs 15.35 lakh. The individuals in question, Mohammad Aamir Raza and Mohammad Fail, residents of Shop No 08, Kalamna Market, are wanted for their involvement in the case. The victim, Ravinish Shrinivas Pande (42), owner of Maa Jagdamba Fruit Company at Hall No. 4, Shop Nos. 2, 3, and 4 in Kalamna Market, also functions as a commission agent for fruit supply.

According to Pande's complaint, the accused obtained a sweet lime consignment from him in the 2020-21 period, amounting to Rs 18.64 lakh. However, they failed to fulfil a payment of Rs 15.35 lakh. Despite Pande's requests for the outstanding amount, the accused issued a cheque that subsequently bounced. When Pande personally confronted them for the unpaid sum, they allegedly threatened him with harm.

In response to the complaint, the police have filed a case under Sections 420, 502(2), and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against Mohammad Aamir Raza and Mohammad Fail, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend them.
