Nagpur, India: The long-awaited Vande Bharat Express between Nagpur and Pune may soon be launched, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable travel option on this busy route.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently hinted at the new service while inaugurating other train routes. He stated that discussions with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had been positive regarding the launch of the high-speed train.

The proposed Vande Bharat Express is expected to ease the pressure on existing services, as many passengers struggle to get confirmed tickets and often resort to long-distance bus travel between the two cities.

If approved, this train will be the fourth Vande Bharat service operating from Nagpur, strengthening the city's position as a key hub in the country’s premium rail network.

Although Central Railway has yet to receive formal notification, a proposal for a sleeper Vande Bharat train on the Nagpur-Pune route was sent to the Mumbai headquarters last year.

Passengers are hopeful that the service will be launched soon, as it promises to significantly reduce travel time and enhance convenience for daily and business commuters.
