A 23-year-old female student, Rani Amardeep Dhanvijay, who reportedly attempted suicide at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Nagpur, Maharashtra, has passed away in a hospital, according to police officials.

On March 6, the girl consumed a poisonous substance on the college grounds and was discovered unconscious by fellow students. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment but unfortunately passed away on Saturday night.

The police have registered an accidental death case, and an investigation is currently ongoing to determine the reason behind the student's extreme measures.

The incident has stunned the student community at the ITI, with many giving their condolences and support for the girl's family during this difficult time. Officers from the college are taking necessary steps to provide support and counselling to the students affected by the incident.

This heartbreaking incident once again highlights the need for greater attention to be given to mental health issues and the well-being of students.
