Two Drug Peddlers Arrested with Ganja of Rs 8 Lakh near Nagpur

The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Nagpur Rural Police successfully dismantled a drug operation in the Butibori area, arresting two individuals and seizing 86 kg of ganja (marijuana) valued at over Rs 8.60 lakh from their four-wheeler.
The apprehended suspects are identified as Ikram Hussain Iqbal Hussain (21), a resident of Fatehganj in Baraili district, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajkumar Ashokkumar Siwar (19), hailing from Kalubas Dongargarh in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
According to police reports, a patrolling team grew suspicious of a four-wheeler (UP-84/F8205) during the early hours of Monday. Upon stopping the vehicle, a bag containing ganja was discovered, leading to the swift arrest of the accused. Subsequent interrogation revealed that the two were transporting the narcotics from Telangana to Delhi.
The police registered a case under Sections 20 and 22 of the NDPS Act. Acting under the guidance of SP Harssh Poddar and Addl SP Dr. Sandip Pakhale, the arrest operation was carried out by PI LCB Omprakash Kokate, along with PSI Ashish Morkhade, ASI Mahesh Jadhav, and a team comprising Arvind Bhagat, Gajendra Choudhary, Milind Nandurkar, Sanjay Bante, Mayur Dhekle, Satyashil Kothare, Amrut Kinge, Rakesh Talewar, Ashutosh Lanjewar, and Sumit Bangde.
