A young married woman, identified as 19-year-old Pratiksha Purshottam Rahangdale, resident of Plot No 196, Bharatwada, near Gas Godown in the Kalamna area, tragically ended her life on Tuesday morning under puzzling circumstances.

According to information obtained from police sources, the grim discovery was made around 9 a.m. on Tuesday when Pratiksha was found hanging from the ceiling fan, having used a saree as the means. She had taken this drastic step while being alone in her residence.

The motive or cause behind Pratiksha's decision to take such a tragic step remains unclear at this juncture.

Following initial investigations and taking the statement of the deceased's 26-year-old husband, Purshottam Rahangdale, into account, the Kalamna Police has registered a case of accidental death and has sent Pratiksha's body for post-mortem examination, as they continue to probe this distressing incident.
