Broad Daylight Killing in Vandevi Nagar Sparks Outrage

Nagpur, India: Tension gripped Vandevi Nagar on Thursday after a young man was brutally murdered in broad daylight, marking the second killing within a week under Yashodhara Nagar Police jurisdiction.
The victim, identified as Sheikh Sohel alias Chand, was attacked near Gulshan Nagar during the afternoon. Local residents quickly informed the police, who arrived at the scene and sent the body for postmortem. A case has been registered, and police have launched a search for the accused.
This incident comes just days after another youth was killed in Bhilgaon, also under Yashodhara Nagar Police limits. That murder, which took place near a Zilla Parishad school, is believed to have stemmed from an old rivalry. In both cases, the accused are currently absconding.
The back-to-back murders have raised serious concerns about law and order in the area. Citizens have called for stricter patrolling and faster action by the police to prevent further violence. Investigations in both cases are ongoing.
