Burglar Arrested, Stolen Ornaments Worth Rs 3 Lakh Seized
Wathoda Police successfully apprehended a burglar and retrieved stolen ornaments valued at Rs 3 lakh from his possession.
The suspect, identified as Sahil Rajesh Uke (20), resides in Rambag, near Dahikar Zenda. Exploiting an opportune moment on October 21 when Pushpa Mahesh Turkar (35) and her family were away at Koradi Devi Temple, Sahil Uke, residing at Plot No 44, Chandika Layout, Snehal Nagar, Chhoti Tarodi, Wathoda, gained unauthorized access to Pushpa's residence during the night. Exploiting the darkness, he entered the house through the rear door and pilfered gold ornaments.
Acting on suspicion, a police team detained Sahil, who later confessed to the theft during interrogation. He was subsequently arrested, and the stolen ornaments were recovered while he was in police custody.
The arrest was carried out by officiating Senior PI Vikrant Sagne, along with PSI Ravindra Chauhan, PSI Gajanan Raut, and others, under the supervision of DCP (Zone IV) Vijaykant Sagar and ACP Ganesh Biradar.
