Burglar Makes Off With ₹27.65 Lakh Worth of Electric Items from NMC Godown in Cotton Market

An unidentified burglar carried out a daring theft, making away with electric items valued at ₹27.65 lakh from a Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) godown situated in Cotton Market. The incident occurred between October 3 and 20.

The complaint was lodged by Sunil Navghare (49), an NMC junior employee in the electric department. Navghare had stored street lights and various other electric items within the NMC's Cotton Market godown.

The audacious thief managed to break open the godown's lock and pilfer the valuable items within. When the theft was discovered, Navghare promptly reported the incident to Ganeshpeth police station, leading to the registration of a burglary case.

Local law enforcement is actively reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations in an attempt to identify the elusive burglar, whose identity currently remains a mystery.

The theft underscores the need for enhanced security measures to protect public property and assets in the area.
