Direct Flight from Nagpur to Noida Likely Soon as Airport Development Nears
Nagpur, India: Air connectivity between Nagpur and Noida is set to improve, with a direct flight between the two cities expected to be launched in the near future. Sources have confirmed that a slot has already been allotted at Nagpur Airport for this new service.
This development comes just days before the official handover of the airport to GMR Group for its much-anticipated modernisation and expansion. As part of this transition, the airport is expected to witness a surge in both domestic and international flight operations.
Within the next four months, several new airlines are also likely to begin operations from Nagpur. Among these are carriers operating under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), aimed at improving air access to tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
At present, Nagpur Airport handles international flights operated by Air Arabia and Qatar Airways. On the domestic front, services are currently provided by Indigo, Air India, and Star Air.
The addition of new routes and airlines is expected to significantly enhance passenger options and position Nagpur as a key aviation hub in central India.
