Family Beaten on Train After Child Urinates from Upper Berth; Arrests Made in Nagpur

Nagpur, India: A small accident during a train journey turned into a shocking incident when a family was attacked by three passengers on the Subedarganj Special Express. The fight happened after a child accidentally urinated on an upper berth in the train’s general compartment.
The family — Ansar Ahmed, his sister, and her husband — were travelling from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh to Hyderabad. The child was sitting with his mother on the upper berth when the accident happened. Some of the urine dripped down to the lower berth, where three men were seated.
Angry over the incident, the men started beating the family, including the woman and the child. Other passengers witnessed the violence but were unable to stop it.
When the train reached Nagpur station, the Government Railway Police (GRP) quickly arrested the three attackers. A case has been registered, and the police are investigating the matter.
The incident has upset many people, who are calling for stricter action to stop such violence on trains and to make train journeys safer for everyone.
