Former Principal and 3 Professors Booked in GS College Professor's Suicide Case
A case has been filed against the former principal of G S College, N Y Khandait, and three other professors following the suicide of Professor Gajanan Karale.
Professor Gajanan Karale, aged 45, took his own life by hanging himself on Sunday. He left behind a suicide note, in which he explicitly mentioned that the harassment he endured from the college management led him to take this extreme step. The note included the names of five to six professors allegedly involved in the harassment.
Karale's son-in-law, Nilesh Ronghe, filed a formal complaint at Beltarodi police station, prompting a preliminary investigation by the authorities. As a result, the former principal, N Y Khandait, along with Bachchu Pandey, Bhavna Gattuwar, and Tausik Pathan, have been charged with abetment to suicide. The police are actively pursuing the case and further action is expected to follow.
