Four Arrested in Nagpur for Honey-Trap Scheme Targeting Businessman

Four individuals, including a woman, have been arrested by the Koradi police in Nagpur for their involvement in an extortion scheme where they allegedly honey-trapped a businessman. The accused demanded Rs 50 lakh from the victim, threatening to release explicit photos online.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Disha (45, name changed), a resident of Koradi Road, Rakesh Rameshchandra Divaniya (33), from Gokuldham Society, Bhopal, Subhash Shersingh Bhawar Barod (34), residing in Shikshak Colony, Jawra, Ratlam, and Javed Khan Mungisurhim Khan (50), hailing from Chhaoni Jawara, Madhya Pradesh.

The victim, a trader whose family is engaged in the spare parts business in Wadi, reportedly initiated a friendship with Disha through Instagram approximately two months ago. After exchanging phone numbers, they engaged in conversations. Disha, posing as a senior officer in Seoni's District Collector's office, rented a flat in Kambhale Tower, Koradi.

On December 16, Disha invited the victim to her flat, where she allegedly coerced him into compromising positions and took explicit photographs. Subsequently, three male accomplices entered the room, recorded a video, and accused the trader of rape. The group threatened to make the compromising material public unless Rs 50 lakh was paid as extortion.

When the victim expressed his inability to pay, he was assaulted by the assailants before being released. The trader later informed his father about the incident, leading to the filing of a complaint with the Koradi police.

In response to the complaint, Koradi police conducted a raid on the woman's flat, resulting in the arrest of all four suspects. It has been revealed that the woman had a history of engaging in honey-trapping activities.

The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter to unravel the extent of the extortion scheme and any potential accomplices involved.
