Hudkeshwar Incident: Young Girl Subjected to Torture Using Cigarette Butts

A 7-year-old girl brought to a couple's flat on Pipla-Besa Road in Atharva Nagar was subjected to torture involving burning cigarettes on her chest and private areas. The couple, who had locked her inside the house and then left for Bangalore, was revealed after the girl's cries were heard from a window, attracting attention on Wednesday. The Hudakeshwar police took the girl into custody, but no formal complaint has been filed yet.
Reportedly, the flat in Atharva Nagar is under the name of an individual residing in Dubai, and a renting couple resided there. The young girl from Punjab-Haryana was brought in for domestic work, enduring constant physical abuse. The couple abandoned her in the locked flat with some food four days ago while they travelled to Bangalore. Workers came to disconnect the electricity due to unpaid bills and noticed the girl seeking help from the window, leading to the neighbours rescuing her.
Later, the girl was taken care of by a couple named Jangle who provided her with food. During her care, it was discovered that she bore cigarette burns on her chest, back, and private areas. The traumatized girl shared that she had been brought to the location in a car and disclosed her parents' residence in Punjab. Hudakeshwar police were informed and promptly intervened, detaining the girl and arranging her admission to GMCH for medical attention.
