Hudkeshwar Police Nab Duo in Connection with Violent Truck Robbery

Hudkeshwar Police successfully apprehended two individuals, Taufiq Ashal Shah (26) and Kashil Gazil Shah (26), along with their accomplices, following a violent incident involving the looting of Rs 1.43 lakh cash from two truckers and the alleged abduction of a cleaner. The accused, residents of Vilas Nagar in Yavatmal district, were identified after an intensive investigation.
The victims, Kantilal Mansingh Pawar (30) and his friend Praveen Pawar, were transporting coal in their trucks from Bilaspur. The incident occurred on the service road connecting Nagpur-Jabalpur Highway. Praveen Pawar's truck, while on the slope, collided with a Mahindra Bolero pick-up truck (MH-30/BD-5615) coming from behind. Taufiq and Kashil Shah, along with 7-8 accomplices in the Mahindra Bolero, attacked Kantilal and Praveen Pawar, leading to the looting of Rs 1.43 lakh in cash.
Subsequent to the initial attack, the assailants, identified as Taufiq and Kashil Shah, intensified their aggression by demanding an additional Rs 75,000 from the victims. When Kantilal refused to comply, the perpetrators allegedly abducted the cleaner of Praveen Pawar and fled the scene with the latter's coal-laden truck.
Hudkeshwar Police promptly registered a case under Sections 395 (dacoity) and 364(a) (kidnapping for ransom) of the Indian Penal Code against Taufiq and Kashil Shah, as well as their unidentified accomplices. The authorities seized the truck from the possession of the accused and successfully rescued the abducted cleaner.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the Hudkeshwar Police continue their investigations into the complete chain of events, aiming to bring all perpetrators to justice. The arrests of Taufiq Ashal Shah and Kashil Gazil Shah mark a significant step towards ensuring accountability for the violent robbery and abduction that unfolded on the Nagpur-Jabalpur Highway.
