Illegal Hookah Parlour Raided by Crime Branch Unit in Sadar

Nagpur, India- In a swift operation, Unit-02 of the Crime Branch raided a hookah parlour located at 09 Brothers Cafe, Buty Compound, Mount Road, Sadar. The owner, Ishwar Naresh Sulbhewar (22), and manager Bhushan Ashok Gondane (27) were caught red-handed serving hookah with flavoured tobacco to customers.

Acting on specific information, the raid exposed Sulbhewar and Gondane for running the illegal hookah parlour. Ten hookah pots and packets of flavoured tobacco, valued at Rs 29,900, were seized during the operation.

Both Sulbhewar and Gondane have been identified as residents of Nagpur. They were charged under Sections 4(21) and 5(21) of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act. Subsequently, the accused were handed over to Sadar Police for further investigation.

This crackdown underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to curb illegal activities and uphold public health and safety.
