Increase in the number of unsafe places for women in Nagpur after suspect was apprehended after raping a young woman for 12 days

Under the watch of Nagpur's Hingana police station, a college student was molested. The police were able to apprehend the suspect 12 days after the incident. The victim did not know the apprehended suspect. On that day, he was strolling close to the college. He attacked a lone student that day as he was strolling close to the campus and dragged her into the underbrush.

The accused is currently being questioned by the police. In the meantime, Nagpur has learned of yet another devastating development. According to reports, Nagpur now has a greater number of sites where women are not safe. According to the police, there are 230 locations in Nagpur that are risky for women. 

According to Nagpur Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, given the sensitivity of this matter in Nagpur, it would not be acceptable to discuss it at this time. A theft case has already been filed against this accused in the interim. However, the police commissioner has stated that no complaints have been made against him about women. 

On Wardha route in Nagpur, a college student was assaulted while walking along a deserted route. The victim girl was pulled into the bushes by the unidentified accused when she was traveling to the college from the main road by a desolate path of shrubs, where she was tortured by being threatened with an axe. The event happened between 11 p.m. and 1 p.m. on October 5, yet the accused in this case was only detained 12 days later, on October 16.
