Nagpur, India: The Indian Army has shot down several Pakistani drones that entered Indian airspace over Amritsar. The drones were spotted near the border and were destroyed using anti-drone systems.
These drones were reportedly trying to carry out spying missions or drop weapons for terrorists. The army shared videos of the drones being taken down.
This incident happened just days after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which killed 26 civilians. In response, India launched “Operation Sindoor” to target terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have been rising since the Pahalgam attack. Both countries have accused each other of violence and aggression across the border.
The international community has urged both sides to stay calm and avoid further conflict. Meanwhile, the Indian Army is staying alert and closely watching the border areas to stop any more threats.
