Knife Attack on Student in Yashodhara Nagar
In a recent incident within the Yashodhara Nagar police station, a student fell victim to a knife attack directed by individuals with whom he had an old rivalry. The injured student, identified as 19-year-old Dheeraj Sanjay Sayam from Kinkhede Layout, was attacked at his residence.
The incident unfolded on Thursday night while Dheeraj was engaged in a conversation in front of his friend's house after dinner. Around 11:30 pm, Nikesh Shahu (20) from Fukat, accompanied by his friends Ganesh (19), Mubarak (21), and Pajju (23), arrived at the scene. Upon inquiring about Dheeraj's identity, the assailants began verbally abusing him.
The abuse stemmed from a previous dispute, and as Dheeraj approached them, Nikesh Shahu brandished a knife, attacking and stabbing him.
