Mild Earthquake of 2.4 Magnitude Observed in Nagpur

Nagpur, India- In the afternoon of May 8, 2024, a minor earthquake of 2.4 magnitude was felt by the residents of Nagpur, India. The tremor occurred around 4:00 PM local time and caused a momentary ripple of concern among locals. This was the fourth recorded earthquake in Nagpur.

The earthquake event, within Nagpur, registered at a depth of 5 kilometres beneath the earth's surface. Although minor in magnitude, the tremor was noticeable to some residents, giving a brief surge of shock.
