MSRTC to Run Additional Bus Services for Diwali Rush on Nagpur-Pune Route

In an effort to alleviate the Diwali travel rush on the Nagpur-Pune route, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced plans to operate additional bus services. These services aim to cater to passengers facing wait-listed train tickets and high fares from private bus operators during the festive season. The additional services will commence on November 7, running from the Ganeshpeth Bus Stand to the Khadki Cantonment Board Ground in Pune.

From November 7 to 10, MSRTC will run Diwali special bus services at various departure times:
- 10 am
- 10:30 am
- 12:30 pm
- 2 pm

From November 8 to 10, three additional bus services will also be available with departures at:
- 12 pm
- 1:30 pm
- 2:30 pm

On November 9 and 10, MSRTC will further extend its services with four more departures scheduled for:
- 11 am
- 11:30 am
- 5 pm
- 5:30 pm

Ticket prices for the Regular, Hirkani, and Shivshahi services are as follows:
- Regular: Rs 1,090
- Hirkani: Rs 1,480
- Shivshahi: Rs 1,625

Notably, MSRTC is providing a 50% concession for women travelers and free travel for senior citizens during their journeys.

Similarly, for travelers heading from Pune to Nagpur, the bus service schedule from November 8 to November 11 includes departures at various times:
- 5 pm
- 6 pm
- 7 pm
- 8:15 pm

On November 9, three additional bus services will be introduced with departures at:
- 7:30 pm
- 8 pm
- 8:45 pm

On November 10 and 11, four more services will start their journeys at:
- 6:30 pm
- 7:15 pm
- 8 pm
- 10:30 pm

This initiative aims to provide travelers with more options and flexibility for their Diwali travel plans, reducing the burden of high demand and unavailability of train tickets during the festive season.
