Nagpur Man Arrested for Molesting Teen Girl in Kapil Nagar

Nagpur, India: Kapil Nagar police have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly molesting an 18-year-old girl after unlawfully entering her home in broad daylight and making sexual advances.
The accused, identified as Munna alias Shailesh Ramkhilawan Rajput, a resident of Bhante Anand Kaushalyayan Nagar, reportedly entered the victim’s home on 28 April while she was doing laundry. He allegedly grabbed her hand and made inappropriate demands. The incident came to light after the girl's mother rushed to the scene upon hearing her daughter's cries, prompting the accused to flee.
A police complaint was filed the same evening. In line with the new directive to expedite investigations into crimes against women, Kapil Nagar police filed a charge sheet within 16 hours of the complaint — well within the stipulated 24-hour timeframe.
Police officials have stated that swift legal action will continue in such cases to ensure justice for victims of crimes against women.
