Nagpur Police Arrested Two Suspects in BJP Leader's Murder Case

Nagpur Rural Police have successfully arrested two suspects hailing from Madhya Pradesh in connection with the brutal murder of local BJP leader Raju Dhengre in Kuhi. The unfortunate incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, with reports suggesting that the victim was strangled and bludgeoned to death. The alleged motive behind the crime revolves around a dispute over Diwali payment and bonuses, which the victim purportedly denied to the accused dhaba workers.
The deceased, Raju Dhengre, had employed the suspects through a contractor near the MP bus stand, and notably, no identification details for the duo were recorded. The primary suspects, identified as Adi and Mandla, also known as Chhotu, hail from Mandla in Madhya Pradesh. Following the murder, they were involved in a car accident resulting in head injuries. The incident occurred as they attempted to flee the crime scene with the victim's car. The accident took place near Vihirgaon, causing the vehicle to overturn on the Nagpur-Umred highway.
Investigators are examining various angles in the murder case, including the possibility of political rivalry. Raju Dhengre, a former Sarpanch and recent winner of the Gram Panchayat polls, adds a layer of complexity to the investigation.
The police have confirmed that the assailants, while attempting to escape with Dhengre's car, met with an accident. The victim's daughter made the grim discovery of her father's lifeless body after unsuccessful attempts to contact him. With the prime suspects now in custody, the authorities are intensifying efforts to uncover the true motive behind the murder, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice.
