Nagpur Police to Auction 778 Unclaimed Vehicles in Partnership with MSTC

Nagpur, India: In a move to clear space and dispose of long-abandoned vehicles, the Nagpur Police have joined hands with MSTC Ltd, a Central Government enterprise, to auction 778 unclaimed vehicles lying at various traffic division premises across the city.

The announcement was made by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Archit Chandak, who confirmed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with MSTC to carry out the auction through a transparent and digital platform.

A list of these unclaimed vehicles has been uploaded to the official Nagpur Police website under the notice titled “Unclaimed Vehicles for Auction – Dated 14 May 2025.” Vehicle owners have been given seven days from the publication of the notice to claim ownership by contacting the concerned traffic division or the traffic department.

Important Information for Vehicle Owners:

  • If your vehicle is listed, you must raise a claim within seven days.

  • Failing to do so will result in the vehicle being included in the e-auction, and no further claims will be entertained after that.

  • For assistance or to raise a claim, visit the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) at Civil Lines, Nagpur, or contact 9822931416.

The initiative is aimed at efficiently disposing of vehicles that have remained unclaimed for years, clearing up valuable space at police stations and reducing administrative burden. The auction process is expected to be fully digital and transparent under MSTC’s supervision.
