Nagpur to Host Inaugural All India T10 Tennisa Ball Cricket Tournament from May 9

Nagpur, India: Cricket fever is set to grip Nagpur as the city prepares to host the first-ever All India T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament from 9 May at the Railways Ground, Ajni. The landmark event is being organised by the Vidarbha Tennis Ball Cricket Association and Nagpur District Tennis Ball Cricket Association, under the guidance of the Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India.

Teams from over 12 states and regions including Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Vidarbha are expected to participate. Organisers estimate that 36 to 40 teams will compete, with 22 already confirming their entry.

The tournament will follow a league-cum-knockout format, with teams divided into eight groups. The top two from each group will move on to the pre-quarterfinal stage.

The grand opening ceremony will take place at 4 PM on 9 May. MLC Sandip Joshi will inaugurate the event, with several top officials from the national tennis ball cricket bodies, including Imran Ahmed Lari and Dr Gangadhariya, attending. The winners will be awarded trophies dedicated to the memory of Mandatai Kowe.

Preparations are in full swing with strong efforts from the organising team including Ashish Dangore, Viraj Kaithwas, Vaishnavi Kowe, and other volunteers working to ensure the tournament’s smooth execution.

Nagpur is all set to witness thrilling cricketing action and welcome teams from across India in what promises to be an exciting sporting event.
