Nagpur Trader Assaulted, 300 kg of Mangoes Looted in Daring Daylight

Nagpur, India: In an unusual and daring heist, a fruit trader in Nagpur was assaulted and robbed of 300 kilograms of mangoes in broad daylight near the Chikhali Gate area of Kalamna Market.
The victim, identified as Prashant Malaya Godgu, was transporting mangoes when a group of unidentified men intercepted his vehicle. The assailants physically attacked him and looted six large sacks of mangoes, each weighing approximately 50 kilograms, before fleeing the scene.
Godgu promptly reported the incident to the local police, who have since registered a case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being reviewed in an effort to track down the culprits.
The brazen robbery has raised concerns among traders in the area, many of whom rely on daily transport of high-value fruit stock. Police have assured enhanced patrolling in market zones and appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately.
Authorities have termed the incident “highly unusual” and said they are treating it with utmost seriousness, given the nature and setting of the crime.
