Nagpur Youth Arrested for Allegedly Raping 16-Year-Old Girl in Hingna

In a distressing incident, police in Nagpur have arrested a youth from Hingna for allegedly raping a minor girl. The accused was detained following a complaint filed by the victim’s family.
According to police sources, the incident took place on the night of 12 June when the accused allegedly lured the 16-year-old girl into a secluded area in Hingna and committed the crime. The victim’s family, upon learning of the assault, filed a FIR at the Hingna police station, prompting swift action from law enforcement officials.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed publicly, was quickly traced and arrested based on CCTV footage and witness statements. He is currently in police custody and facing charges under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
