Nagpur's Siddhi Dubey Selected as Flying Pilot in Indian Navy, Carrying on Family Legacy
Siddhi Dubey, a proud daughter of Nagpur, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the position of Flying Pilot in the Indian Navy. Siddhi continues her family's legacy of serving the nation, as she becomes the third generation to dedicate herself to the noble cause. Her grandfather served as a Subhedar in the Indian Army, while her father retired from the Indian Air Force.
After successfully clearing the SSB (Services Selection Board) exam, four individuals were selected, and an even more inspiring fact is that three out of the four are talented young women. This marks the second batch of female flying pilots in the Indian Navy, with the initial batch consisting of one female pilot. With the inclusion of these three exceptional women, the number has now risen to four.
Siddhi completed her engineering degree in electronics and telecommunication from Nagpur in 2022. Following her studies, she appeared for the Staff Selection Board exam. Alongside her academic pursuits, Siddhi actively participated in the Air NCC (National Cadet Corps), where she honed her flying skills over the course of three years. Her training in NCC provided her with the opportunity to fly an aircraft. During the Navy selection process, Siddhi underwent computerized and physical tests, demonstrating her capabilities and commitment to the role. She is set to join the Navy on June 17, with the passing out parade scheduled for December.
Siddhi attributes her success to her supportive family. Her mother's joy knows no bounds as her daughter embarks on a journey of serving the country. She proudly exclaims, "My daughter is serving the country; she will now touch the sky." Siddhi's father also expresses immense pride, emphasizing that this marks the third generation of their family dedicated to serving the nation.
Siddhi Dubey's remarkable achievement not only brings honour to her family but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring individuals, particularly young women, who aspire to pursue their dreams and contribute to the noble cause of serving the nation.
