Nitin Gadkari challenges Vikas Thakre of Congress in Elections 2024

Hot seats for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections: In Nagpur in 2024, incumbent Member of Parliament Nitin Gadkari will face off against Vikas Thakre of the Congress. Once a bastion of the Congress party, this area saw BJP victory in 1996, and Gadkari has been leading the charge since 2014.

Known as the "city of oranges" and located close to Maharashtra's capital, the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat is now hosting a heated political contest between Congress challenger Vikas Thakre and incumbent MP Nitin Gadkari.

Because of his significant development work in Maharashtra, the BJP's former president Nitin Gadkari started a winning streak when he was fielded in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. With 2,84,848 votes, Gadkari won and was re-elected in 2019.
