Reckless Tanker Crushes Girl at Ravi Nagar Square Causes Concern Among the Locals

Ravi Nagar Square, a 16-year-old girl lost her life after a recklessly-driven tanker collided with the two-wheeler she was riding pillion on. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, leaving residents of the area outraged.

The victim, identified as Sanskriti Sachin Mishra (16) from Jagdish Nagar Friends Colony, was a student at a coaching centre in Dharampeth. According to the police, Sanskriti was travelling with her friend Yash Mishra on a two-wheeler (MH-31/FV-7557) around 5:30 pm on Tuesday. They were returning home from a tuition class when the speeding tanker struck their vehicle from behind at Ravi Nagar Square. The impact caused Yash to fall towards the road divider, while Sanskriti, riding pillion, fell on the opposite side and was tragically caught under the rear wheels of the tanker. The tanker driver fled the scene after the accident, as per the police.

In another unfortunate incident, a young man lost his life and a woman sustained serious injuries when a speeding water tanker collided with the two-wheeler they were riding on. The accident occurred at Mohgaon turning square, within the jurisdiction of Hingna Police Station.

Yuvraj Rameshwar Walke (33) and Sarika Kishore Iwanate (29), residents of Dabha, were travelling on a motorcycle (MH-31/VM-6976) when the water tanker (MH-31/CQ-4049) collided with their vehicle near Mohgaon turning. The collision resulted in severe injuries to Yuvraj and minor injuries to Sarika. Hingna police were immediately informed and rushed to the scene. Both victims were swiftly transported to a rural hospital in Hingana, where Yuvraj was sadly pronounced dead by the attending doctor.

The police have registered a case under Sections 304 (a), 279 of the Indian Penal Code, and Sections 134, 177, and 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. A search has been launched to apprehend the tanker driver, who fled the scene following the collision.
