In a shocking turn of events, a thief absconded with a 9mm Glock pistol and 30 rounds of ammunition that were the property of Naik police constable Manguesh Lanjewar. Lanjewar, who serves as the security guard and gunman for Priyanka Naranware, Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Group 4 in Nagpur, experienced the burglary between Sunday night and Monday morning at his quarters in the SRPF Camp on Hingna Road.

During the incident, Lanjewar, who was on duty at the Commandant’s residence overnight, had taken a day off and gone with his family to a village in Bhandara district. Before his departure, he securely stored his firearm and cartridges in a cupboard at his residence. Upon returning on December 26 at 6:30 am, Lanjewar discovered his house's lock broken and realized that the service revolver and cartridges were missing. Taking swift action, he promptly reported the incident to the MIDC police station, resulting in the filing of a burglary case.
