Sewage Chaos Outside Central Bank Sparks Health Concerns in Nagpur

Nagpur, India: The Central Bank of India's Kamptee Road branch in Nagpur is struggling to operate due to a foul stench and sewage overflow caused by civic neglect. The area around the bank has been flooded with dirty water for weeks, making it nearly impossible for staff and customers to enter the premises.
The problem began after the construction of the Kamptee Flyover, during which manholes were either blocked or buried. This has led to repeated sewage blockages, with waste water flowing openly in front of the bank. The stench has become unbearable, with locals and employees complaining about serious health risks.
Despite raising several complaints with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), there has been no effective response. Locals blame the ongoing flyover construction by Maha Metro for the mess, saying the poor planning has made day-to-day life miserable.
Residents, bank staff, and nearby shop owners are demanding immediate action to clear the sewage and improve sanitation in the area. They are urging civic authorities to resolve the issue before it turns into a major public health hazard.
