SSB Busted Sex Trafficking Operation: Five Accused Arrested

Nagpur, India: The Social Security Wing (SSB) of the City Police's Crime Branch uncovered a nefarious prostitution racket at OYO Hotel Yes-24 located in Balaji Nagar on Hingna Road, MIDC area, leading to the rescue of five girls rescued in the flesh trade operatives.

Authorities arrested five individuals allegedly involved in the sex racket. Identified as Yash Deepak Bagalode (20) and Shubham Balwvant Malkhede (22), residents of Bhatipura, Kajargaon, in Chandur Bazar taluka, Amravati district; Sanket Vishnu Titarmare (25) from Plot No Police Nagar, Hingna Road; Manoj Arun Khandare (36) residing in Indira Mata Nagar; and Madhukar Sagar Bijwe (31) hailing from Hirapur, Achalpur, Amravati district. Two additional suspects, Rahul and Manoj Agrawal alias Gagan Thakur, remain at large.

Following a tip-off, SSB operatives deployed an undercover agent to the hotel, who confirmed the presence of a sex racket. Subsequently, a team swiftly raided the premises, leading to the arrest of the five suspects.

The rescue operation liberated two girls from Uttar Pradesh, two from West Bengal, and one from Delhi. In addition to the arrests, authorities seized six cellphones, cash, and other materials valued at a collective sum of Rs 1,01,620 from the accused.

A case has been filed against all involved parties under Sections 370 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, along with Sections 4:57 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act, at the MIDC Police Station.

The successful operation was spearheaded by PI Kavita Isarkar and her team of constables, under the vigilant supervision of senior Crime Branch officials.
