Suspicious Wife Allegedly Plans Acid Attack on Husband in Nagpur
A 27-year-old woman is accused of directing an acid attack on her husband, Dheeraj Bhimrao Jaipure, 44, in the Hudkeshwar police station area. The incident occurred on Thursday night, and since then, the alleged wife has fled the scene.
Dheeraj, a vegetable seller and Vitthal Nagar resident remarried Kiran, a 27-year-old divorcee, 11 months ago. The couple faced relationship issues, leading Kiran to stay at her parents' house in Wardha. Despite Dheeraj's attempts to reconcile, Kiran agreed to live with him again starting December 1.
On Friday morning, Dheeraj left for work, selling vegetables, and upon his return at 8.30 p.m., Kiran allegedly attacked him with acid as he lay on their bed. Dheeraj, attempting to shield himself, suffered burns on his body instead of his face. Subsequently, Kiran reportedly threw acid again, causing further harm.
In a burnt state, Dheeraj sought help at Ajni police station, leading to his transfer to the Government Medical College and Hospital. Assistant Inspector Mahesh Pandey from Hudkeshwar police arrived at the scene, and an assault case has been filed against Kiran based on Dheeraj's statement. Kiran is suspected of agreeing to live with Dheeraj with deliberate intentions of assaulting him.
