SUV strikes two wheelers in Nagpur, killing a man and injuring two women on the road

In Nagpur, Maharashtra, an irresponsibly driven SUV struck a mother and her daughter's motorbikes, killing a 23-year-old man and badly injuring another, according to authorities on Saturday. According to an official, the event happened on Friday night in front of the Laxminarayan temple next to Sakkardara Lake.
Gaurav Raut (age 23), a local of Dattatraya Nagar, was named as the casualty. After suffering injuries, Mhalgi Nagar residents Varsha Kharabe (48) and her daughter Divyanshi (22), were sent to a private hospital.
Around 10:30 p.m., the SUV traveling in the opposite direction struck Ms. Kharabe and her daughter as they were on their way home from Diwali shopping with the older woman riding a pillion, according to the police officer.
Mr. Raut was instantly killed when the SUV struck him while he was riding his scooter behind the mother and daughter. The SUV then flipped over after colliding with an electric pole. The official stated that the driver had left the scene. He said that Sakkardara Police have filed a complaint under IPC section 304(A), which prohibits causing death by any careless or reckless act that does not constitute culpable homicide. Additional investigation is ongoing.
