The NMC starts putting in Smart Public Restrooms

In order to start building a Smart Public Toilet at Walker Street, Civil Lines, Nagpur, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and the District Planning Committee Nagpur organized a bhoomipujan program. The bhoomipujan was conducted by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari.
In addition to separate amenities for men and women, this free Smart Public Toilet will also have hand dryers, a waste disposal unit, a women's changing area, sanitary pad vending machines, and doors with sensor systems. In addition, the restroom will provide wheelchair accessibility for people with impairments. In all, 44 more Smart Public Toilets are planned for the city by the NMC.
The following people were present: Dinesh Naidu, Rohit Jaiswal, Sarang Upganlawar, Farhan Qadri, Rahul Girde, Sanjay Chaurasia, Praveen Kande, Devendra Bhowate, Municipal Deputy Engineer, Sachin Chamate, Junior Engineer, and others. Pyare Khan, Chairman of the Tajbagh Trust, and Prashant Ugemuge of Vidarbha Infotech were also present.
