Three Arrested in Nagpur for Robbery and Vehicle Theft; Six Cases Solved

Nagpur, India: In a major breakthrough, Pachpaoli Police arrested three individuals involved in multiple robberies and vehicle thefts, successfully solving six pending cases across different city areas.

The investigation began after a resident of Yashodharanagar lodged a complaint about his motorcycle being stolen near Kalamna Road. Acting on the lead, the Anti-Vehicle Theft Squad of the Crime Branch detained 40-year-old Mohammad Atiq Mohammad Khaliq from Mominpura. During interrogation, he confessed to stealing six motorcycles from areas including Hudkeshwar, Dhantoli, Sakkardara, Mankapur, and Lakadganj.

Based on Khaliq's statement, police arrested two more accomplices — Abdul Javed Abdul Razzaq (46) and Imran Ahmed Nisar Ahmed (40), both also from Mominpura. Police recovered a total of seven stolen two-wheelers from the trio.

Additionally, in a separate operation under Koradi Police Station, a minor was caught for stealing vehicles from the Hudkeshwar and Sitabuldi areas. Three more two-wheelers were recovered in this case.

In total, ten vehicles valued at approximately ₹4.8 lakh were seized.

Police officials commended the efforts of the Crime Branch and local stations for their coordination and swift action. Investigations are ongoing to determine if the accused were linked to further thefts in the region. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity promptly.
