Three Held Within Hours After ₹4.36 Lakh Robbery in Wadi, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: Wadi police swiftly arrested three accused within hours of a daring daylight robbery involving ₹4.36 lakh. The incident occurred near Ambedkar Nagar when an employee of a private company was on his way to deposit the cash at a bank.
The victim was intercepted by three youths who threatened him with a knife and snatched the bag containing the cash before fleeing the scene. A missing slipper at the crime spot became a key clue, helping police trace the culprits.
Acting promptly, a police team led by Senior Inspector Rajesh Tatkare and Assistant Inspector Kunal Dhurat, under the supervision of Zonal DCP Lohit Matani, launched a search operation using CCTV footage and local intelligence.
Within two hours, the police apprehended two adult suspects and one minor from nearby areas. A total of ₹4.25 lakh was recovered along with the knife used in the robbery. All three have been booked, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover any previous criminal involvement.
The police credited timely action and community support for the successful crackdown.
