Train Coach Attendant Attempts Assault on Minor in Washroom

A disturbing incident unfolded on the Patliputra Express between Monday and Tuesday night as a coach attendant tried to assault a young girl in the moving train's washroom. Identified as Mohammad Munna, a 50-year-old resident of Gaya, Bihar, and an eight-year veteran in the Railways as a Coach Attendant in the B-2 Coach of AC 3 Tier in Bengaluru Patna Patliputra Express, the accused's actions were met with quick revenge from angry passengers.
The incident happened as the train approached Nagpur, with most passengers in the coach asleep. A 9-year-old girl, travelling with her 75-year-old grandmother, married daughter, and young grandson, went to the bathroom near Butibori station between 1 to 1.30 midnight. Taking advantage of the moment, Munna followed her, forcibly entering the bathroom and attempting to assault her. The girl's cries for help from nearby passengers lead to an immediate response.
Munna attempted to lure the terrified girl with money before opening the bathroom door and allowing her to escape. The mother, waiting for her daughter's return, was informed of the severe incident when the girl recounted the details. Outraged, passengers swiftly apprehended Munna, subjecting him to physical retribution.
Railway security forces were alerted, and Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff reached the coach to detain the accused. Upon reaching Nagpur station, the Government Railway Police (GRP) took custody of Munna, ensuring further investigation into this alarming incident.
