Vidarbha may experience temperatures over 45 degrees: heatwave warning by the Meteorological Department

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for Vidarbha as the temperature is expected to cross 45 degrees Celsius in some districts in the next few days. The rising heat has caused people to suffer from heat stroke and the temperature has already crossed 40 degrees Celsius in many districts of Vidarbha. Akola and Wardha districts have recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius.

After experiencing a decrease in temperature due to unseasonal rains in April and early May, the sun is shining bright again in the middle of May. Hot winds are accelerating towards Vidarbha from the North, which is causing the temperature to rise. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that the people of Vidarbha may have to bear the scorching heat throughout May.

The temperature rise is attributed to the storm Mocha that is looming over the Bay of Bengal. The storm is extracting moisture from the Indian mainland, leading to a surge in temperature. The citizens of Vidarbha are advised to take necessary precautions and stay hydrated during this period of extreme heat.
