Woman Found Murdered in Wadgaon Gujar Identified as Savitri Patle; Husband Detained for Questioning

The woman discovered with her throat slit in the shrubs of Wadgaon Gujar in Hingna taluka on November 14 has been identified as Savitri Patle, a woman in her 40s. The case, initially puzzling, gained clarity after a missing complaint was filed at the Buti Bori police station.
The ongoing investigation led the Hingna police to detain Savitri's husband, Devram, a labourer, for questioning. As of the latest update, the authorities are still probing the true motive behind the murder. It is speculated that Devram, potentially weary of Savitri's behavior, might have been involved in the crime.
Efforts were made by the police to identify the deceased woman, including checking missing person complaints in neighboring states like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The angle of human sacrifice was also explored, reflecting the thoroughness of the investigation.
Photographs of the deceased woman were circulated to various state police control rooms as part of the identification process. The successful resolution of the case is attributed to the diligence of the Hingna police team, led by head constable Anand Wankhede, constable Ajay, and others, under the supervision of senior inspector Vishal Kale and DCP Archit Chandak.
